June 27th: Basic Archery Instructor Training: This class is for parent volunteers interested in helping/coaching archery. It will be held at WCMS. The cost is $75 per person and the session is from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm . If you are interested, please e-mail Coach Carr at rick.carr@woodford.kyschools.us

Archery Team

Archery is taught to all grade levels at WCMS. Students spend PE classes learning archery basics through lessons from The National Archery in the Schools program. Students learn safety procedures, whistle commands, and basic technique.

Archery has been offered as an after school intramural sport at WCMS since 1991. Membership in the archery club can lead to placement on the competitive archery team.

The WCMS archery team competes in tournaments with other schools. WCMS is in Kentucky Archery region 7. The archery team is for students who want to take their archery skills to the highest level.
