WCMS uses the Accelerated Reader Program in which students receive credit for books by taking an Accelerated Reader test on the computer or filling out a book report form. The book report form is used if a book is not on the computer and it is approved by the Librarian or Language Arts teacher. Book report forms will only count when a student has passed a computer test for each 9 weeks. Grades will be determined by the individual Language Arts teacher.
Students are encouraged to choose a book based upon interest and ability rather than just point value.
